PAY RATE: $15.70 - $21.60 per hour DOQ (up to 1,500 hours per year). 


GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Under the supervision of the Inventory Coordinator/Central Stores Supervisor, Park Manager and Park Operations Supervisor, this position will primarily involve those relevant to the operation of the park warehouse. Typical duties will include receiving, storing, shipping, and distributing materials, filling requisitions for materials, tools and other stock items and performing a variety of routine and complex technical and administrative tasks. This position is part-time up to 1500 hours per year.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: The list below is intended to describe the general nature of duties only. Employee shall perform other duties as assigned.

  • Receives, stores, ships, and distributes materials as directed.
  • Conveys materials and items from receiving areas to storage by hand or truck.
  • Sorts and stores materials or containers with identifying information using stencil or crayon.
  • Sorts and stores materials on racks, or places items on shelves or in bins as required.
  • Opens bales, crates and other containers using hand tools.
  • Fills requisitions or requests for materials, tools, and other stock items.
  • Keeps records of materials or items received or distributed.
  • Performs warehouse housekeeping functions.
  • Verifies delivered items against invoices.
  • Prepares warehouse transfers and receiving reports.
  • Monitors fuel levels, orders fuel as necessary, and schedules fuel deliveries; checks fuel pumps and receives fuel deliveries. 
  • Creates prokeys (access devices for fuel pumps) for new equipment and vehicles. 
  • Create and maintain Fuel Master Employee ID’s
  • Trains staff on proper use of HCMA fuel pumps.
  • Creates Purchase Orders (POs).
  • Makes purchases with POs, store account and Procurement-card (P-Card) for Purchasing Department and other staff as necessary.
  • Reconciles P-Card purchases monthly.
  • Research products and vendors as necessary.
  • Maintains a minimum level of inventory and restocks inventory items as needed.
  • Assists in inventory control.
  • Coordinates incoming deliveries of goods and equipment assuring that delivery vehicle is met with HCMA staff at proper location.
  • Assists in removing and disposing of surplus or obsolete equipment and supplies.
  • Assists in maintaining clean and safe warehouse facilities.
  • Assists in Special Events throughout the year.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Graduation from high school or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of office practices and procedures.
  • Ability to operate motor vehicles such as vans or trucks.
  • Ability to operate office equipment such as computer terminals, telephone, calculator, and copier.
  • Ability to stand, stoop, bend and move materials/supplies weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to obtain certification to operate a forklift to load, unload and move materials between work locations.
  • Ability to operate listed tools and equipment.
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to perform arithmetic calculations and tabulations.
  • Ability to maintain and keep clerical and stock records.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with supervisors, co-workers, vendors, and the public.
  • Must have a valid Michigan Driver's License and maintain an acceptable driving record.
  • May be required to adjust schedule to meet organizational needs, including special events, evenings, weekends & holidays.
  • Ability to perform essential duties.

TOOLS & EQUIPMENT USED: Hand & power tools; trucks; heavy equipment; telephone; radio; fax machine; computer to include word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.

The employee is routinely required to run, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch and must have the ability to traverse sandy, marshy, or wooded areas with uneven terrain.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
