(Seasonal) Splash n' Blast Attendant

PAY RATE:  $13.75 per hour (up to 600 hours per year or 120 days per season). 

Eligible part-time employees will receive up to a $5.75 per hour retention bonus for all hours worked from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Additionally, eligible seasonal employees will receive a $0.60 per hour seasonal bonus for all hours worked. Click here for details.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:  Work activities in this position primarily involve the clean up and maintenance of the bathhouse beach/pool facility. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: The list below is intended to describe the general nature of duties only. Employee shall perform other duties as assigned.

  • Cleans showers, toilets, and other areas/receptacles and assures all are in good working order.
  • Cleans and maintains litter-free beach, swimming area and Splash n Blast area.
  • Supervise patrons use of Splash n Blast.
  • Collects admission revenue and sells/stocks sundry items via point of sale system.
  • Reports all malfunctions to facility manager.
  • Disseminates information to inquiring park visitors.
  • Enforces all beach and water park rules and regulations.
  • Cares for surrounding shrubs and flower beds.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to positively interact with co-workers, supervisors and park visitors.
  • Ability to distinguish letters and symbols.
  • Ability to perform cash and credit transactions quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to work varied hours depending upon park demands.
  • Physical demands are usually moderate.  Will often be working along a seawall near water.
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.

TOOLS & EQUIPMENT USED: Requires the frequent use of hand tools used for raking, digging, pruning, leveling, repair of irrigation systems; custodial tools such as brooms, mops, toilet plungers; basic construction tools such as hammers, saws, tape measures, carpenter square. Use of personal computer, word processing, phone, radio,cash register, calculator and copy machine.

The employee is routinely required to run, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch and must have the ability to traverse sandy, marshy, or wooded areas with uneven terrain.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
