Golf Course Assistant Manager (Part Time) - Lake Erie Metropark

Salary Range:  $13.65 per hour

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:  Work activities in this position primarily involve assisting the Golf Services Manager in the operation and maintenance of the park golf course facilities, and acting as Manager in their absence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: The list below is intended to describe the general nature of duties only. Employee shall perform other duties as assigned.

  • Assist in developing and supervising all key management employees of the property
  • Assist in hiring, developing and supervising all key management employees of the property
  • Assist in coordination of individual, group, and tournament play as directed by the Golf Services Manager
  • Implements approved accounting procedures, including proper checks and balances with regards to cash flow and cash register operation.
  • Oversees the maintenance and operation of a clean, safe, litter-free facility.
  • Keeps accurate stock inventories and order when necessary.
  • Maintains schedules for cleaning and normal maintenance.
  • Suggests and institutes new procedures for more efficient operations.
  • Schedules all hours of work for employees reporting to him/her.
  • Ensures that all employees use accepted safety measures and precautions.
  • Schedules and makes appropriate arrangements for golf outings
  • Acts as Golf Services Manager in their absence.
  • Assists Golf Course Superintendent when necessary.
  • Manages volunteer marshall program according to policy and procedure.
  • Knowledge of golf a must
  • Must have strong customer service skills
